I originally purchased this to have on hand for storms if my power goes out. Thankfully I did not have that problem this year, but I did find it useful for those days I wanted to sit out my porch and there was no breeze coming thru. Since it is battery powered there is no concern of a cord or where to plug it in. However I do have to make sure I have D cell batteries on hand, not something I use in anything else. The fan while not a power house does create enough if a breeze to keep me comfortable and able to sit on my porch on those hot summer days. Good idea if you need a breeze somewhere where a plug but be aware you used a lot you will need a stock of D cell batteries.

I was pleasantly surprised by how great this little fan works! Living in the land of hurricanes %26 power outages, I thought this would be helpful during such times. I prefer medium speed—I can still get about 40 hours of battery use, %26 get relief from the heat. You get a great many more hours using low speed, but it does nothing for me. High speed is really what it says…wow!!! If your needs are the same as mine, try it—I think you will like it.
