I've only tried out the USB cord with this portable battery-operated fan to test the air flow and it works great. I'll try the 4 D-size batteries later when camping without electricity. I like the design, size and colors and it should fulfill my needs.

I originally purchased this to have on hand for storms if my power goes out. Thankfully I did not have that problem this year, but I did find it useful for those days I wanted to sit out my porch and there was no breeze coming thru. Since it is battery powered there is no concern of a cord or where to plug it in. However I do have to make sure I have D cell batteries on hand, not something I use in anything else. The fan while not a power house does create enough if a breeze to keep me comfortable and able to sit on my porch on those hot summer days. Good idea if you need a breeze somewhere where a plug but be aware you used a lot you will need a stock of D cell batteries.

I’m very happy with this fan.

I just bought 2 of these for small room circulation and/or power outages because we like air movement. I couldn’t be more satisfied. This fan is the perfect size for a “small” fan (not tiny like some are). Small enough for a desk or kitchen counter but substantial enough to make quite a difference in comfort level. I love that you can tilt the fan in three different directions virtically, that there are three speeds (by the way the low speed is practically silent, great for sleeping!), that you can either plug it into the wall with your adapter or you can run it on 4 C batteries. I also love that on the low speed using batteries, it claims to last 214 hours on one set of batteries (about 9 days) although I haven’t tried that yet to test it. It’s an attractive design and the top also serves as a handle.
