I like everything about this shelf except for the hooks that would be on the back side of the shelf. When you put it up against the wall, typically where a consumer would put it, the back hooks are virtually unusable unless you plan to scuff your wall all up. I used it in my office to hold a few decorative items as well as provide me a place to hang my coat my lunch bag and my purse. It was definitely suitable for those uses.
