We love this product! Durable and easy to use.

We do like this version as we do not need to OIL prime the cabinets before putting this paint on like you normally have to do when painting over glossy surfaces. The finish seems to hold up really well after a year. We do not have children using the cabinets, if that helps.

So yes, when you open the paint it does not look black. It looks more grey or blue grey but once it's completely dry it's definitely blacks my nephew accidentally scratched the paint less than an hour after I painted it so I'm hoping that was just because it's not fully dry! I'll update if anything but I'm pleased so far! It did take two coats to cover the original cabinets
