Alden Design 7.5 Ft Pre-lit Fir Christmas Tree with Warm Lights, Green

Something about financing a tree in so many easy payments seemed to suck the joy out of the true meaning of Christmas. But the tree I originally was going to get was out of stock and would be until next season. Then I came across this 4'5" pink tree from Alden Design (came in a box marked Yaheetech). I never thought it was such a bad little tree, but my kids kept calling it a "Charlie Brown tree". I ordered it anyway. Pink is my favorite color, it looked nice based on the picture, and the price was reasonable. Why not? If I decide I don't want it as the main tree next year, it would work in other spaces like an office, bedroom, etc. Pretty in pink. Really. It's the perfect shade of pink and comes prelit with white incandescent lights. I was surprised that the tree seemed full enough given its price. It just takes a little time to fluff the branches in different directions. I did not get the flocked version because the flocking can cause digestive issues in pets that might chew or ingest the flocking. Flocking can also be messy, but it does add a little more fullness and a pretty effect to the tree for those who don't have pets or whose pets won't bother the tree. Since I have two cats and a curious kitten in the household right now, it seems to be a bonus to have a prelit tree where the wires are snug to the branches instead of dangling wires that would encourage them to bite at it. So far, they haven't messed with the tree or lights, but they like to be under it. I am a bit worried about what will happen when the lights start to burn out on a prelit, but Walmart does sell a Christmas light repair tool that seems like it will make it easy to find and replace a bad bulb. No issues with the lights on this one so far. My kids refer to this as a Charlie Brown tree, so I had a little fun with it starting with adding Snoopy. I then added a strand of Main Stays fairy lights (from Walmart) that run off a battery to add a little color, used some Quikrete and a little pail for the stand from a local home improvement store (but the stand it comes with is sturdy), and a toy (the slightly larger size) Radio Flyer (model W7A) wagon (also from Walmart) to decorate it. The only thing I wish it had was the option to change the lights to different modes like twinkle, chasing, fade, etc. as well as light or multi-color. With that said, the always on white lights look really nice when paired with colored fairy lights that do have different modes. I gave it five stars given the quality of the tree for the price, the color, ease of assembly (fold down branches %26 easy to put together sections), packaging, shipping, etc. Even though who will be around the tree is most important to me, maybe it just needs a little love ;-). I am pleased with the tree and how it looks with the decorations.
