I love the overall idea of this product though size is great for a kennel, to use on floor where you would have otherwise laid out multiple pee pads you will want more than 1 set. Quality and construction is very good and much more comfortable under paws (I would imagine) that grate bars but I gave lower stars for the ease of using with risk of claws tips possibly getting stuck in holes depending on the dog. For my lil old guy he is a Chiweenie mix and literally gets his claw tips stuck in a number of things despite my efforts as he is nearly totally blind now and can't see what he is stepping on or near . I've added pieces from a roll of non slip mesh type shelf liner to ensure he's not stuck but for other dogs especially with well groomed nail tips this would be great for.
