My daughter is 9 yrs old and pretty tall for her age. She is 59 inches and 77 pounds. I got her the size 14/16 and they fit nicely . There is room in the waist to grow. So not tight. If you're looking for a very form fitting look then size down if she's around my girls height and weight. I appreciate I can find jeans that fit her but still have an inch for her to grow into them during the school year so I'm not constantly replacing pants. Great buy. They are made well, good quality. I see no negative about them.

Super stretch!

Stretch and fit right according to her size. My daughter is 5 years old wears size 6/6x. Just a little long but i can fold it up. I wish they make this in boot cut or little loose so that it is not too tight to put on.
