These are NOT high compression. I purchased this and another to compare fit. I don't like either. This one was better than the first one I bought. But neither are high compression. I don't want to need an oxygen tank. But, give me some type of push back against my belly bulge. This is light compression in my opinion. That opinion is based on experience with other garments in various styles that actually work as they say. If you have a slight bump or fresh baked muffin top (it's new, soft and still moldable with little assistance, you will like this). We are all shaped differently, so I can't say size down. If you are working with day old or stale muffin top (it is harder, stubborn and resistant to everything but laying down to flatten), you may want to look for something else. I will see if sizing down works. If they even have a smaller size in stock. If so, I will update. If not, it will remain a no for me! I can not speak on rolling or comfort throughout the day, as I have no use for the item as is. Possibly helpful... I'm about 205-210lb. I look about 5 months along on a terrible day. So I need something stronger. I don't recall what size I purchased. It should say somewhere on the review. But it had decent stretch. Just no hold for me.
