Don't let first impressions fool you

My first impression opening the box was that the color wasn't good. It's a very yellow toned "brass". But that's why spray paint exists so I finished the unboxing and the quality of this is outstanding! Truly! It looks much more expensive that it was and it probably the sturdiest curtain rod I've ever installed. I hung it without painting it and I will say while I'll most likely paint it at some point, the color doesn't bother me when it's hung on the wall. It just looks really high end designer.

This is a nice quality curtain rod and perhaps a bit shinier than I was expecting, but that's OK. It was helpful to have a middle rod and extra brace. My disappointmentment was expecting the curvature of the rod to help reduce light. It made no difference vs a regular rod. I've learned to extend the curtain rod out by 3-5 inches from window and increase it's height about 2-3 inches from ceiling. By adding blackout curtains and doing these remediations, there is a definite difference in reducing light!

Lighter Colored but Good Quality

Loved these! Pretty easy to install for my husband. Only complaint is that they aren't as dark of a brass I was aiming for. The BHG rings I bought to add to them are a different colored gold, but for the price and location of where they are located in the house I'm okay with. Just wish it wasn't so hard to tell color differences when ordering online!
