Beautiful, but difficult to adapt

Very nice, elegant well-built faucet. But if you want to remove the spout (unscrews easily) and replace it with a hose and hand-held shower wand, it's a nightmare to find an adapter that will fit the 1/2" MNPS threads on the neck. I even posed the question to Customer Service on the Scandvik website, but got no response.
