Bought this for our son for Christmas. It was the favorite gift of the day and he spent the next 3 days outside playing with it. The battery life of just one battery lasts well over 30 minutes and it comes with an extra. He had expressed interest RC cars, but we didn't want to waste many on something he couldn't have fun with or spend too much on something he will possibly outgrow in a short time. This was great to the price and a lot of fun outside. It goes throw grass, dirt, and mud without slowing down too much. Great beginner RC.
