Love, love, love this rug!
Before I made my purchase, I read a review that alerted me to the smell of the leather and explained the unique qualities of this rug. I LOVE this rug....smell of leather and all. It is beautiful. It's not ""cushy"" but then I didn't expect it to be. It's just very fashionable and ""urban"" in its look. It makes a statement. Also, per the other review, if pieces of leather come out (the rug is hand-tied), I will save them and re-tie them as needed. This is the coolest rug I have ever purchased and I will purchase another one, the moment I can find a spot that needs such a designer rug.
