I'll start right off by stating that this 4 compartment organizer is better than I thought it would be. Handles all of my spiral bound school books, as well as magazines and loose paper. It's deep enough to manage spiral books with the tabs added to chapters. The tabs stick out beyond the book by 1/2". I found the plastic material to be a little on the flexible side and could stand to be more rigid, but not enough to justify a point loss. If it's loaded with books and papers, you'll need to support it well. In other words, you won't be carrying it around when it's full as it will warp, twist and flex. DIMENSIONS: full width: 13" Each compartment is 3 and 1/8 inch interior width. Each compartment interior front to back is: 9 and 8/8 inches. Interior height at the back: 10 and 7/8 inches (you'll need to know that for shelf space) Interior height at the front: 3 and 1/4 inches The bottom is full of holes, so you can't put loose items in it like paperclips, tacks, etc... Assembly takes less than two minutes and needs no instructions. I definitely recommend this magazine holder and think it is an excellent value!
