Difficult Assembly for the Inexperienced

The tv stand looks nice overall. The cabinet doors with the plastic/transparent panels were covered with a film. You would assume that this protective film would just peel off, but it was very difficult to remove. Some remnants of it are still on the panels and don't look so nice. I'm trying to determine how to remove more of the protective film without damaging the cabinet doors. Also, the stand was a bit difficult for me to assemble—took at least five hours—but it would probably be easier for a more experienced person. The directions are pictures but no words. Additionally, I needed assistance with some of the tiny screws, which needed to be drilled.
