Introduction
Now it's easier than ever to learn to fly RC (Radio Controlled) airplanes in more places and smaller spaces with the HobbyZone® P-51D Mustang 450mm! Its ultra-micro size makes it perfect for flying in large yards, parks, soccer fields, and other suitable spaces where larger “trainer” models can’t typically be flown successfully by first-time pilots. Plus, it features a “pop off” prop saver design and incredibly tough EPP construction that makes it one of the most durable trainer airplanes yet! Best of all it also features SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology that helps prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation, and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully. The 100% factory-assembled airframe is equipped with a reliable electric power system, receiver, and servos. It’s also RTF (Ready-To-Fly) right out of the box including two rechargeable batteries, a charger, and a controller/transmitter so there’s nothing else you need to buy or provide to fly!

Great Customer Service!
We bought this last year for my son and he didn't fly it much because it was tricker to handle then what he anticipated. So we bought him the Real Flight Trainer to build his confidence. After some practice he had some great flights but we experienced some issues with the motor gears. I got in touch with their customer service via chat and they sent out the replacement airframe.
Easy
I had never flown a rc plane before but this plane was great and was super easy to fly it is a great trainer plane
Soaring Success: Maiden Flight of the P-51 Exceeds
I recently purchased this plane for my maiden flights due to its low entry cost and SAFE® features. It also didn't hurt that the P-51 is one of my favorite airplanes! I'm currently learning to fly and have spent some time on the RealFlight trainer to prepare for actual flights. After gaining confidence with the simulator, I took the P-51 out to the field today for its maiden flight. I set the controller to beginner SAFE® mode, throttled up to full power, and hand-launched the plane. The aircraft performed flawlessly! The beginner SAFE® mode made it very easy to fly. It remained well-controlled and maneuverable in roughly 10–15 mph winds. I was able to circle the field, fly figure eights, and execute other patterns without issue. During my second flight, I felt confident enough to switch to intermediate and expert SAFE® modes, which allowed me to explore the plane's expanded maneuverability and capabilities. Overall, the aircraft—and the entire package—performed beyond my expectations. It's a fantastic value, and I highly recommend it!
