Got this Xbox series s from Walmart.com. This system blows my Xbox one out of the water. You can really see the difference when ran side by side. Load times are way faster. VERY small system, and sits perfectly In my bedrooms dedicated man cave corner. The controller even feels better. The D pad seems to have improved. Very impressed.

This past year has brought many surprises and the sheer amount of fun I've had with the Series S has definitely been one of them. I abstained from owning an Xbox console last generation, having owned all iterations of the PS4. Unable to attain a PS5 during launch, I opted to give Xbox another go and was able to land a Series S. The first thing I noticed was how small the console is, even in comparison to the PS4 slim. Setup was easy enough, though setup requires the utilization of a mobile device and the Xbox app. Once everything was setup, the first thing I wanted to test was performance with Apex Legends. Apex Legends is a great cross generation test. Given its size, I wasn't sure it would handle the game as well as the PS4 Pro. I was wrong. Not only did the console keep pace with Frames Per Second (FPS) with the PS4 Pro, but it remained quiet and cool throughout my gaming sessions. Access to Gamepass Ultimate is HUGE. It's been a tremendous amount of fun to play games from the Xbox 360 generation again and have access to and play games from the previous Xbox generation. Having reached the end of Netflix and every other streaming service, this has been a breath of fresh air and an absolute blast. We tested out Gears of War 1 - 3, Forza Horizon 4, Doom Eternal and more. Having access to this service alone makes owning at least the Series S a must.
