I have round strainers but ordered this because I love how it extends, and fits well ACROSS the sink in either direction. So handy for peeling chopping rinsing veggies or fruit or shelling hard boiled eggs!! Drying silverware. I even plan to use it to rinse small tie dye items. I do think it's a little pricey and one of the legs came off in its long journey to me. it works just fine anyway. I don't like unnecessary packing materials but this should have been packed with some cushioning.
