Excellent quality nearly to the point of overkill, at least concerning the metal construction. The wood part is particle board / pressboard however, it is supported underneath by its own metal frame. I would have no reserves sitting something over 200 lbs on this shoe rack. None of the metal is flimsy, I could not bend any of the metal by hand or with normal everyday tools if I REALLY tried! Naturally the mesh part could be warped or bent with a tool, but the mesh too is very strong. It is perfect for my small apartment which is 90% carpet in which I do not allow shoes in the house, this rack makes that point clear. The color of the laminated wood is beautiful, rich dark browns and blacks. Can't express enough good things about this show rack. It arrived early, shipped fast!
