I got tired of those flimsy plastic "throw-aways" that are just wasting plastic - because they worked okay for a couple of times. But, I like the solid feel and balance of Harry's razor - and it glides smoothly on every pass while taking my beard down close to the face without scraping. I do find it's not shaped right for getting in small edges around the nose and ears, however, and you may want to have a different razor for that. For the small corners and edges around ears and nose, I use my electric side-burn trimmer for that stuff. But, Harry's just makes you feel like you are holding something with the right balance that protects your skin when you use it.
