1. Place the air pump on a flat table or hook it at the end of the bed with the hook of the unit. 2. Place the mattress flat on the bed. 3. Connect the air pump to the mattress with the air conduit and make sure the air conduit is clear. 4. Insert the power plug of the air pump into the power socket and turn the air pressure adjusting knob of the air pump to the maximum position and switch on the power switch. 5. When the mattress is full of gas, you can adjust the air pressure adjustment knob in the appropriate position according to the patient's sleeping comfort level.

This air mattress has made all the difference for my hospital bed mattress. They don't come with a good mattress so tried a topper first but needed something else. This air mattress was it!!! It takes 15-20 to air up. You have to keep the hoses attached as there are no shut off valves for it like on a swimming tube. You can adjust how much air you want in it . I like a medium soft mattress but I have this a firm and it's working well .
