This air mattress has made all the difference for my hospital bed mattress. They don't come with a good mattress so tried a topper first but needed something else. This air mattress was it!!! It takes 15-20 to air up. You have to keep the hoses attached as there are no shut off valves for it like on a swimming tube. You can adjust how much air you want in it . I like a medium soft mattress but I have this a firm and it's working well .
