4slat pieces do not hold a mattress and a person

The bed has a lovely design, the color is great, the assembly is easy. I did not like that it only comes with 4 slats! It does not make sense, the mattress can be damaged by using the bed like that. I would have to find slats that fit and buy separately. I don't think including only 4 pieces of wood does any service.
