I have a 50 lb pit that can slip a collar in 2 seconds but this collar is wide enough that even if you're like me and prefer the 1 to 2 finger give, you can still grab him and get a good hold of the collar before he slips it than when i take him for a walk i tighten it 1 notch and it has just enough space without choking but not enough to slip out. love the with and it's really strong
