I use this on top of a granite countertop at my kitchen sink. It does a decent job of controlling water splashes/drips on the area by %26 behind the faucet base. Water does seep under the mat, you do have to periodically remove the mat, dry the countertop and under the mat. The lemon pattern I chose is a good accent in my black, gray %26 white kitchen.
