Salomon Women's Elixir Active GTX Hiking Shoe, India Ink, 6.5

Love the comfort of the shoes. Also wore on some of my hikes. Have been wearing them for my everyday walks. Since they are waterproof the shoes don't breathe well.

Salomon has been my go-to brand for 15 years because of their longevity and quality. Due to a foot injury, I needed a daily shoe with good support for walking the dogs, running errands, and town outings. The Elixir is exactly what I needed. The plush cushioning keeps my feet from getting tired (honestly, I would hike in these if I could!), and these shoes secure my feet beautifully and comfortably accommodate my wide toe box. Sizing-wise, I normally wear a 7.5 in other Salomon shoes (like the X Ultra and X Crest), and a 7.5 works great in these Elixirs as well. Even though I tend to wear thicker socks all year round, they never feel too tight. I love the fit so much I bought three versions: these Gore-Tex low cut, the Activ Mid for ankle support, and the non-Gore-Tex Activ for hot summer days. They are absolutely perfect for my feet!
