I don’t even know how to describe the texture because online it looks like it would be a fuzzy type of soft, but it’s not fuzzy, it’s very smooth, almost slick feeling. It IS very cooling and doesn’t hold heat too much, which is going to be great for the warmer weather coming.

I don’t understand how you can coverup with a blanket and feel nice and cool. The material that it’s made is light and you feel cooler being covered up !! I use a fan as well because I like the cool air on my face and the blanket with a fan blowing on it seems even cooler. So if anyone like me when they sleep need to be covered up and it’s hot definitely try a cooling blanket. You’ll be as happy as I am I also got a small one for my French bulldog and she loves it as well especially in the high temperatures of California.
