Its not super soft, but its also 100% cotton, and its cotton soft, not plush soft. Its comfortable but durable. And the top sheet is what most of my body feels anyway. The quality of the blanket is worth the price. I paid $64.99. It's slightly too heavy for me, but that's just me. I weigh 160 lbs. I recommend this or the 12 lb blanket if you think that better suits you. I sleep better with the blanket. I would recommend keeping your bedroom cooler while using this blanket.

The blanket is as described and pictured. it am sure this wpuldnt hold up to lots of washes, but i ordered a cover for it, and hope that the weighted blanket won't need to be washed often. It was just as warm as a 20lb blanket I got previously, so my thoughts of being able to use this one in the summer are dashed, but it was a good value for the sale price I got.
