The egg chair cover is surprisingly well-made, with sufficient and even seam stitching, and of a thin and light-weight material which allows it to dry out fast, and to fold when the chair is being used. In fact, though, right now most of the time the kids like to sit in the chair with the cover on creating a little private sanctuary, and this works because the material is transparent enough for adequate light, and there are two screened ventilation panels for adequate air circulation. When it's used this way, the drawstring cord at the bottom does create a little bit of a tripping hazard, though I fully understand that the item is not intended for this. The zipper functions without difficulty, though only goes about half-way up, starting at the bottom; it has a drawstring and toggle closure. There are two hanging straps at the top where it could be suspended on its own so that it could perhaps be used at poolside or next to a camping tent as a quick-change privacy area, especially for kids who are independent yet need some level of supervision or accompaniment. It's not chair-size specific, so I suppose it would sufficiently fit multiple chair styles and sizes. I haven't actually washed it yet, but I imagine it will be fine. If not, I wouldn't hesitate to get another as replacement. In fact, I may just get another one anyway to keep on hand. Overall, yes, I would definitely say that it's worth it; it's probably one of the most useful, inexpensive, and functional items of the summer.
