This gate fits spaces from 32 to 48 inches wide, with a door that opens the entire width of the gate making it easy to walk through. A no-threshold design minimizes the chance of tripping. Install it in doorways, hallways or at the top or bottom of stairs with included hardware (no drilling required for square banisters). Recommended tools for hardware installation (not included): drill, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, measuring tape.

Ordered this to replace the gate that is pictured but was sent a different model twice. It wouldn't be a problem but the new one does not match the old hardware and the locking mechanism is not as secure or childproof
