This rug has no non-slip backing, so when you step on it, you end up sliding a bit. We bought this for my disabled mother to put in her bathroom, but after it almost caused her to slip, it has become the dog's mat. We bought the black one, yet the color looked more like navy blue in the sunlight. After washing, it seemed like it was flimsier, kind of like falling apart, and shrank a bit.
