True to size. smooth and slick. Clothes over them will not bunch up like with a jersey or cotton fabric. Good to wear under skirts for warmer weather. Skirts can be cooler in warm weather. Not everyone wants to wear denim shorts in hot weather. Some skirts might be really beautiful but not as thick in fabric as they use to be when affordable clothing was better quality. Plus, my gramma said it's either something like this or one of those old timey slips women use to wear, or half slips. This way it's ok if you bunch up a skirt to stay out of the way if you ride a bike in a skirt.
