Love the headset. No issues like I was having with my old Arctis elites. I did change out the stock ear pads to ones from Wicked. Sound is great. Getting the headset on charger can be a bit fiddly but overall super happy with them.

My gamer loves these!

He first asked for the Gen 5s for Christmas. I ordered them Black Fri weekend. A bit later, he does a 180 and says the X are what he needs. LITERALLY the day I snuck out and shipped them back and bought the X, he says, “Well, I messed up. I don't have a PC and that's the draw for the X- the easy transition between gaming platform and PC. I just need the Gen5.” 🙈 Well, at this point, it was close to Christmas and the X are what he got. Great sound, sensitive mic (good & bad), and he can call me using them. He likes them a lot. He just wishes the setup was more portable. He opted to use his Beats while staying with his grandpa because the base is a hassle to disconnect/reconnect.
