The ad states that this cover fits mattress size 8-21 inches. I put it on a 6-inch mattress and it fit perfectly. The fabric is very comfortable and the color is exactly what I want I wanted. I use the cover on a RV mattress and don't even use a bed sheet to cover it. I just put a sleeping bag on top.

Soft, quiet, water resistant ;not 100% water proof

While no mattress cover is 100% waterPROOF unless it is plastic, this one comes extremely close to meeting that claim and it is definitely water resistant. Has a nice soft side that faces up and the "water proof/water resistant" fabric is on the under side that faces the mattress It breathes and does not make noise But this is not a zippered mattress cover, so if you are worried about dust or bugs, then this is not the style for you; you need a zippered mattress cover.
