My dog was terrified of this at first. The sound is pretty quiet but her ears can hear the fan for my a/c in the car %26 SHE HATES IT! So she wasn't a fan of this. I kept her regular water bowl. Perfect Fountain

I have 3 cats and they all prefer to drink water differently. One prefers a pool of still water, and the others prefer the moving/flowing water. This fountain is big enough so that it has a nice pool of water, while still having flowing water. It's also super nice that the top clicks into place so it won't tip over. It also comes with cleaning brushes for the filter which is incredible. I did buy extra filters, but that's just my preference- it does recommend changing the filters monthly. I'd absolutely buy this fountain again.

I bought this item because I have to leave town and leave my cat indoors for a few weeks with someone checking on him regularly. He likes to drink out of the faucet so I thought he would enjoy the fountain feature. It also holds a good volume of water. All three of my animals (1 cat, 2 dogs) have tried it for the past few days and they all love it. I have hard water so having the filter is something special for them. It was instinctual for all the pets. They started using it immediately after switching from regular bowls.
