Was purchased for our three year old grandson. He loved playing with our granddaughter's pretend store so we bought the kitchen. All the grandkids enjoy it. It's sturdy and well crafted. I think it would be better if the burners made sizzle sounds like other kitchens do but other than that, we have no complaints.. I do highly recommend this product.

Great sale find

Love the size of this kitchen. My son is a tall 2 year old and will last him quite a few years. Love the look of it. Came with lots of food. Would have been great if it had come with pots and pans too. I got this on sale for a steal. That being said, the directions were kinda hard to follow and took me a long time to put together by myself.

I bought this for my 16 month old granddaughter. She loves to play with pretend food and help wash the dishes, so I felt like she was ready for this. Other reviews stated it was very sturdy and I have to give that an A . It also comes with a strap to secure it to the wall, but if you can't put holes in your walls, this is the sturdiest I've seen. Other things I appreciate are that it's very hard to get fingers pinched in the seams of the door when opening and closing. They can still close the door on their hands but we haven't had this issue. I also like that when opening the doors on the fridge, stove and dishwasher they are approximately 3 inches above floor level so young children won't open the door onto the top of their foot and get hurt. It does take time to put together but if you follow the instructions everything is CLEARLY marked. Took my son an hour and a half but he builds things rather quickly so I would allow for atleast 2 hours on average. This is not advertised for 16 months old so I do watch her when she's playing with it because she could stumble and hit her face on the corners of the doors if they were open. They are not rounded. It also comes with an adorable towel bar but the wooden rod is removable (which she figured out) and I just have it removed for now so she doesn't try to run with it. For a 3 year old this is like an adult kitchen for them to pretend with. It does come with play food and it's adorable! You do need to purchase pots and pans separately. Melissa and Doug “stainless” pots fit great on the old fashioned raised burners (the stove is not a flat top so the size of pots does matter). I have to say that I could not be happier with my purchase, even for a 16 month old.
