More comfortable on hands vs. the claw hook type!

Well-made…heavy Velcro straps…strong curved, rubber-coated, metal grip plate …thick wrist padding! Understanding the “J” gap of the grip plate has to be made wide to accommodate any chin bar thickness….I place a thin 2 inch x 2 inch rubber pad between the grip plate and the bar to reduce any play and make a more tighter, snug fit. I previously used the claw-hook type but the grip was uncomfortable on my hands and would sometimes pinch my fingers between the claw and the bar. I can now safely wrap my fingers around the smooth, curved, grip plate with no fear of finger injury. Upgrading to these instantly increased my chin-up strength adding an extra rep to my set! I'm very happy with my Special Essentials purchase! Great low price from Walmart and delivered it to me in just one day!
