these bowls are excellent. they come in a useful array of sizes, and the lids lock tight. i was worried from the reviews about the lids locking TOO tight, but they dont. its exactly what i want from a good seal lid so i can toss lunch in my bag and not worry about it tipping and leaking. the chemical smell is overwhelming at first though. we had to run them through the dishwasher at least 4 times before the smell began to dissipate. it did start to tranfer to food before we realized how strong it was. the smell does fade after a few good washings, but it is definitely intense at first.

I liked that these bowl aren't a common color. They seal good, and at times kind of hard to get the lid off to serve, but since I am a senior, part of that is because I am weaker. And part is because the lid is just hard to get off. I like that because there is no accidental popping of the lid.
