It was easy to install and mod to a watercooled cpu block. The 2 and 3 pci slots would have been better if there were an extra slot between them but I made it work. To use 3 or 4 GPU's I had to look up on line how to adjust BIOS. You have to enable 4g decoding. I never buy nothing else but asus since 1998 my first computer built. Thanks ASUS

One of the best Threadripper motherboards out

The ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha is one of the most feature packed sTRX4 boards on the market. It includes everything that you could think of in a modern board. Some of my favorite features are the 16 power stages, PCIe 4.0, Wi_Fi 6, 10 Gbps Ethernet, USB 3.2, five M2. sata slots and of course Aura Sync RGB. The Wifi 6 is plenty fast when paired with an appropriate access point. With my UniFi 6 LR I was able to consisently reach 640 Mbps. And with the 10 Gbps ethernet port, i was able to reach full transmission speed. I don't have any USB3.2 Gen2x2 devices to test, but i'm glad the board includes it which will futureproof the board. The five M.2 SATA ports are the most i've ever had on a board. Two of them are underneath the heatsink cover so its best to install them when you are prepping your board. All these ports use PCIe 4.0 bandwidth, but there are caveats if you use the lower M.2 or the rear M.2. So plan ahead, especially if you plan on using the lower SATA ports or lower PCI slot. The other 2 ports are available via the DIMM.2 module. And the Aura RGB is just beautiful with lighting all around the board instead of just a logo. It works flawlessly with Corsair iCue. The board has all the usual ROG features such as dual bios and a start button, but one of the standouts on this board is the OLED screen. It can display hardware metrics, custom images and bios update status. You can even customize the startup/shutdown images. Some other goodies are headers for temp sensors, water pump and multiple fans. And the board comes with a fan extension card, for adding additional fans. I paired it with a Ryzen 3960X and G.Skill Trident Z Neo and installation was easy. All of the necessary software comes on this little USB drive vs a CD. Very slick. One gotcha when using a Wraith Ripper cooler is that PCI slot 1 will be blocked. If you want a feature packed board with room to grow that looks sexy doing than look no further than this board.
