Moved in the 21st century with this thermometer!

Easy to read, easy to use, no waiting for the reading, I can use it on my dog, too. Fabulous! Many years ago, a nurse came in the exam room to place a glass stick thermometer under my tongue. Custom was that the thermometer had to have the mercury forced to the bulb end before she placed it under my tongue. She let go of it accidentally while shaking it, it hit the floor with force and broke open. You may or may not know this, but mercury can instantly become airborne, can be breathed in and poison the person breathing it. She got mad. I was nonplussed. This thermometer will never have that happen! Get this safe and easy-to-use thermometer. Does need batteries, but these days, what device doesn't?
