Good product and I enjoyed the savings too

1st time trying Walmart's brand of unsweetened coconut. I use unsweetened coconut mostly for baking healthy snack bars and cookies. I toast it first and then continue on with my recipes. I made some bars with this, and I found that once it was mixed in with all the other ingredients in my recipe, that I couldn't tell the difference. I will continue to buy it and enjoy some savings.

I've been experimenting with making my own Trial Mix. I tried using the sweetened shredded coconut and really enjoyed the increased taste. The texture is soft and the coconut flakes add a little more sweetness. It doesn't take much when adding to my trail Mix, and it seems to have a good shelf life. These flakes are very easy to incorporate into any recipe. Easy to use and adds a mild sweetness, if you're using the sweetness style of coconut flakes. They also produce an unsweetened version for Diabetics, etc. It has a low glysemic rating, and is low in carbs. Great for the diabetic. I love them.

I make the healthier version of the Girl Scout cookies using dates and these coconut flakes and they are perfect for my recipe. I love that the only ingredient is organic coconut, straight to the point with no unnecessary additives. I do keep them in the fridge after they have been opened and last me for weeks.
