For the price, this is a great piece. It's the exact size we wanted, which is a smaller footprint futon. Looks nicer than an average futon due to the nailhead trim. It is very firm, but for occasional use which is what we wanted, it's great.

All in all, I am happy with my purchase. This is not the sofa to buy if you're going to sit in it every night or for use as an indoor trampoline. It's somewhat flimsy, but perfect for occasional guests who may need a temporary bed as well. It was not the easiest to put together. You do have to drill holes in the bottom to screw in the legs, and the item description does not mention this. From the front, the sofa looks nice and as pictured. You want to imagine though that what you sit on from the front appears to be a normal size sofa. However, the measurements of the width and height are about the same as a typical twin size bed, so you have an awkward piece of the seat that sticks out from behind the backrests. If details matter greatly to you, the appearance of the side of the sofa might be a little unnerving. Otherwise, this is a good buy on a nice antique-looking and versatile piece of furniture, and you may find that it often gets noticed.
