great value for the price

I bought the set of 4 counterheight chairs and a matching table for $169. while on sale. They are real wood as far as I can tell and it was much cheaper to buy this set than to buy 4 individual stools for my island. The seats are comfortable and wider than barstools which makes them easier to sit at for meals at the island and even though I am not using the table it was very pretty. I will say there were a few minor knicks and tiny scratches as seen in the 2nd to the last picture, but nothing that bothers me especially for the price. It also has some what looks like wood glue smudged on the top of one shown in the last picture. I have 2 teenagers who will probably destroy these stools in a couple of years, but for now they look great and sturdier than the last 3 sets of different cushioned ones I've had that ended up stained and weren't nearly as sturdy or comfortable. To be clear these have no cushions and are easy to just wipe down with a moist cloth.

punches well above it's weight...

We recently did a dining room addition, and moved the big table into that room. We had a family function coming up, and bought this set as a "do-fer". (Do for now, until we can find a permanent one.) Well, this one may stay longer than anticipated. The assembly is a bit detailed, but it resulted in a solidly stable set. There are a series of pocketed/recessed connections that keep the hardware out of sight for the most part. The finish is remarkably nice and consistent. My only minor complaint is the stain on the edge of the seat is lighter/brighter than the rest of the finishes. We've been using this about a month, with zero issues to date. Extremely pleased with the purchase...

Nice high table

I like this counter height table. Keep in mind that each chair and the table needs to be assembled. There were lots of screws and it took more time than I expected. One of the set backs had a damaged area, but the company sent me the new part when I called customer service. A high table looks good, and it is a good height whether you are sitting or standing.
