The cover is extremely soft and feels nice to the touch. the puppy immediately got on it and enjoyed rollling around with his toys. The bottom of the cover protects it from moisture .

These expanded to their full size overnight. I didn't notice a strong odor of off gasing at all. I have two 65lb pups and they love the bed. One of my pups has hip issues and she is fully supported. I will try to come back and update in a month, but now this seems like a good product.

Amazing dog bed for large 3yr old Cane Corso

So I have been using this dog bed now for 2 months and I amd pleasantly surprised with how well it is holding up because I have a large dog, a 3 year old Cane Corso. Any other dog bed I've gotten hasn't lasted or wasn't very comfortable and fell apart, especially if I tried to wash it. I love that it has even lasted through me washing the cover multiple times. I washed it on the gentle cycle, and haven't put it in the dryer, because I want it to last, and it seems to be doing great , no rips, no thread coming loose, no stains even which Im so surprised with this dog of mine. The material of the actual bed is so thick and he seems to love it, and he looks adorable on it, and has plenty of room, being he isn't full grown I wasn't sure which size to get, and I'm glad I picked the large , because there's still plenty of room for him to stretch out. Also I love the gray color, the shape and overall how it looks, and the price value. Not too hard to remove the cover and replace when needed with the zipper
