This probably won't work for everyone, but it helped me fall asleep on a noisy, crowded plane ride. The sleep mask has wonderful cushioning that feels really nice on the face and completely blocked out light for me. It keeps your head from bobbing when you try to sleep on a plane. Excellent way to sleep. To get out of it temporarily you just lift the eye mask (which is really soft) and you can slide back into it or just un-velcro one side
