As the title says, I got this as a wedding shower gift. That being said, it was nice enough that I would have gotten a set for myself if I needed any new luggage. My current luggage pieces are Samsonite, so my standards are high. These were hard sided, but not metal, so don't expect it to be bulletproof. Probably would survive most baggage handlers at Delta (you know who you are). It might even do well bouncing off the asphalt if it fell off the back of a truck. Probably the zipper seam would go first. But what would you expect? I would not expect a piece of luggage to survive falling out of a vehicle going down the road at 60 miles an hour. But hey.
