FeelNeedy FN-W05 Large Cat Dog Water Fountain Replacement Filters, 6 Pack

I can't speak for longevity but in my experience with various brands of pet fountain that has more to do with cleaning the motor well enough than anything. My only minor complaint is that the labels on various removable parts are bizarre. The fountain I've been using is a 2 tier open-bowl design with a filter on the side leading into the area the pump is in which is the only non-open part... it's a nightmare to clean because of a huge number of raised ridges that seem to serve no purpose on the walls of the pump area, and the filter doesn't cover the full area water passes through on the bottom so scum builds up. The last one I tried to replace the open one with was motion activated and had my female cat growling at it every time she walked by, scared one of the other two cats, and the third wouldn't drink out of it. I can't hear this fountain at all, and my female cat is already drinking out of it 30 minutes after I set it up and put it out... she's the picky one so that's the 5 star review right there. With the other fountain she always had to stick her paw in to find the water level before she drank for some reason, and it looks like with this one she can see it properly and doesn't need to check first so that alone should keep the water much cleaner. She's about 12lb and drinks a lot of water, the males are 18lb and 20lb and have been drinking more lately so the huge tank on this one is nice. That's all. If things change I'll update the review.

My dog slobbers a lot when he drinks so usually have to bowl end up being slobbers and have to dump it out but with this it comes with two filters and it filters the slobbers keeping my dog's water nice and clean because he is kind of spoiled and will not drink slobber water
