Instructional manual was very easy to understand and the directions on how to put it together was very very helpful. I put my entire IKEA kitchen together so I'm not a stranger to diy. This bed was a nightmare to put together. Not because it was complicated, because it's not, but because so many of the screw holes didn't align. Even when they did match up it was a struggle getting the threads aligned. It was extremely frustrating. Also the various screw sizes were put together in a stupid manner. They were labeled, but not put in any sort of order that would have been common sense, like say, order of use. They were vacuum packed on a sheet of cardboard, so if you needed H but E and J were under it, they'd fall out as you tried to dig out H. It just felt very disjointed figuratively and literally. It's nice looking enough, but assembling it was a really miserable experience.
