Fairly easy to assemble if you have experience assembling this kind of thing but not difficult without experience. Good quality and sturdy. Our almost 4 year old girl has put it through its paces, she climbs on it and jumps off and empties it to crawl in as a fort with kicking on the inside walls. Of course we tell her to stop but it was stood up to a fair amount of having her stomp her feet on the inside walls.
