I bought this for my 5-year-old grandson he wanted me to teach him to play and this is just the right size for him it stays mostly in tune where most small guitars like that for kids don't even try but this one stays pretty close it is nylon strings and that's good because his little fingers are not calloused at all and the action is real close to the neck which is a lot easier for a kid to learn when he doesn't have to sync up to the first knuckle to push a string I'm very pleased with this little guitar

Great Guitar for the Money

I got this guitar for my grandson. No problem with strings breaking, but we replaced them with better ones anyway. This guitar is the perfect size for his lap %26 arms and the thinner neck is perfect for 8yo fingers. The sound is fine for the price, not the worst, not the best. I can't see buying a Fender or Takamine for a first time player who's 8! This is a great guitar for the money.

Fun little guitar.

I was looking for a cheap little guitar to go with my outfit for a themed camping weekend. I read the reviews, and at the price, figured it was worth a shot. I'm pleased with the fit and finish. I got the blue-burst finish. Once tuned up (nylon strings are stretchy) it does hold tune pretty well. Bottom end steel wrapped strings have a nice chunky tone, the upper strings definitely sound like a toy guitar. It was a hit with some fellow players at campout. Now that I'm home, I'm thinking about swapping the upper nylons for light gauge steel strings, if it doesn't break under the tension. We'll see. With the included case, extra strings, picks, strap, and a pretty decent tuner, it is worth the price. My only real drawback was using adult size fingers on a kid size guitar. Highly recommend.
