It was listed as rechargeable but is not, requires 4 AA batteries. If I had known this, I would have ordered something else. It also came from China, which I didn't realize, took an inordinate time to arrive. It does function well and does the job, looks good. I would recommend a different product. FALSE ADVERTISING!
