No straps, no need to add a coat, tons of pockets for tools, gloves, hat, and personal stuff. There are holes in the side that allow you reach into your pants pockets without unzipping. This coverall is great! The fabric it's made of is actually thick, and does not feel like a cheap polyester blend. It works well to keep you warm while you work, and even has openings for you to be able to reach into the pockets in your pants underneath. The chest pockets are incredibly useful. My only gripe with this coverall is that the crotch region is kind of tight fitting. The legs are also smaller than I would have thought. Does not matter for me though. I would definitely recommend especially considering the price
