This lap desk is really the best one we have bought. Three others broke within a couple of years. It doesn't fold up and easily put away but that is the compromise made for durability. Occasionally a child will think it's just a step stool (which it is durable enough for) but overall I love this product and I'm thinking of buying another one, which I read should nicely stack on top of this one when stored away.
